| Presently the offering for
this all vaccinated sale is approximately 600 animals which cover the
range from 500lb through to the early 900's. There appears to be a significant
number of animals from my lead information that would be suitable for
backgrounding.
The vast majority have received live vaccine with many having as added coverage parasite control, pasteurella, blackleg and H.S.[sleeping sickness]. There are a few instances where the vaccination timing is closer to sale date than ideal but that should not be as critical at this time of year. At this time in our sale program vaccinations are almost 100% administered in the neck and heifers are guaranteed open in almost all cases.
