As of Tuesday, Jan. 26/10 there are approximately 650 cattle consigned [with the potential to reach 750] for the Jan. 29, 2010 Stocker Sale at Hoard's Station. The "All Vaccinated" offering at present is comprised of approximately 60% calves and 40% heavier [800 lb. +] cattle. Almost 100% of the calves have been weaned for 1 month or longer. The vast majority of the cattle have been vaccinated with live vaccine with frequent value-added features including vaccinations for Pasteurella, H. S., blackleg, and parasite control. The largest breed grouping is made up of CHAR and CHARX with LIMO and LIMOX and BLack Angus also having significant numbers.

[i]77 Bl. Angus [Western origin] heifers in the 800 lb.range- live vaccine, blackleg, and parasite control at end of Oct./09 and parasite control repeated in early Jan./10 - neck vaccinated, guaranteed to be open and double moved- fed corn silage and balage- will sell in large ring lots
[ii]50- 60 CharX heifers and steers in 900 lb. range -double vaccinated with 4-way + blackleg
and Somnus [Dec. 15/09 & Jan. 15/10] -heifers guaranteed open and steers castrated surgically or bands at birth - on corn silage, haylage and grain
[iii]50 steers in 800 lb.+ range - CharX, LimoX and Bl. Angus- vaccinated with live 4-way + H.S. in April-May/09 or late December/09 -guaranteed to be properly steered- double moved
[iv]35 CharX and LimoX heifers and steers -most in 700 -750 lb. range -all vaccinated as young calves in spring/09 and boosted with live 4-way on Jan. 5/10 + parasite control Jan. 5
-heifers guarantee open, steers pinched in May/09, weaned for three months - vaccinated cowherd - on dry hay,balage, and small amount of 13% pellets
[v]31 CharX calves [10 heifers, 21 steers] and 3 Bl. Angus heifers - Age Verified [born Feb.
28 - May 12/09] - live vacc. and parasite control in early Nov./09 - heifers guaranteed open, steers castrated at birth, weaned at end of Nov./09 - live vaccinated cowherd - on corn silage, 2nd cut hay and free choice salt and mineral
[vi]32 CharX heifers in 850 lb. + weight range -all guaranteed open - some of group purchased as vaccinated on Oct./09-double moved - remainder vaccinated with live 4-way +
Pasteurella and blackleg in May/09 from a live vaccinated cowherd - kept in same group as double moved above - on 2nd crop hay and 15% grower ration.
